Joe McSweeney qualified from DIT Bolton Street in 1978 with honours in Architectural Technology. He spent 3 years working on various projects in London. On his return to Dublin he worked with Keane Murphy Duff Architects for 3 years as Project Architect and Site Architect on a number of large scale commercial projects. He set up Joe McSweeney Architects in 1983. Joe has a wide experience in all aspects of the building process and an in-depth knowledge of Planning Law, Building Regulations and Contract, Health & Safety and Conservation of Protected Structures. Joe is a member of the RIAI and was President of the GIAI from 1995-1998.

Senior Architect - Dip.Arch, B.Arch Sc., RIAI
David Smith is senior architect and designer at Joe McSweeney Architects and has been with the practice for two years. David graduated from Architecture at DIT Bolton Street in 2000 with honours and has previously worked with FKL Architects, O'Mahony Pike Architects and DTA Architects. He has experience on a wide variety of projects from small and medium domestic works and one-off houses, to large scale residential, commercial and cultural projects. David is a member of the RIAI and was President of the Architectural Association of Ireland from 2006-2008. He was also an RIAI Council member 2008-2010 and is currently Treasurer of the AAI.

Architect - MSc in Architecture and Urban Design
Dariusz is architect and designer at Joe McSweeney Architects and has been with practice for two years. He graduated form Cracow University of Technology, Architecture Faculty accredited by RIBA, in 2001. He subsequently worked in a number of offices in Poland and has been practicing in Ireland since 2005. Dariusz has worked on a variety of medium and large scale residential and commercial projects.
